OSCAR is currently the largest independent fuel distribution company in Romania, in the top 5 players, with a vast portfolio of B2B services & products and a natural development towards B2C.

Since 2001, we have stood alongside partners from different industries – transport, construction, agriculture companies or any other type of business. For us, each customer becomes a partner and, later on, a part of the OSCAR family.

The OSCAR portfolio mainly consists of diesel supply, using various distribution channels – wholesale, OSCAR DIESELpoint in-house fuelling stations and OSCAR fuel cards, complemented by integrated customized services for the specifics needs of each industry and the needs of each partner. Over time, we added gasoline, bitumen and lubricants to our portfolio.

We rely on a highly performant logistics infrastructure, which includes our own fuel storage network, with a storage capacity of over 70,000 cbm, and our own 100+ tankers fleet.

Our experience, professionalism, detailed knowledge of market requirements, development of customized solutions and a controlled flow through the integrated logistics chain provide the certainty that the products you need are available at the required quality, at the desired place and time.

Our History

2001

We took the first steps in the market as an entrepreneurial Romanian company. In the following years, OSCAR made the first steps towards the B2B fuel distribution, setting a strong foundation for high-quality services & products.

2004

We introduced, the DIESELpoint in-house fuelling stations concept, a first-of-its kind for the Romanian market. The B2B services offering, initially covering the southern region of the country, has become the main growth driver for achieving national reach and recognition.

2010

We launched a new service concept, under the DIESELpoint Access brand. This was the first step towards a national network of automated transit fuel distribution stations, dedicated to the B2B market and especially to fleet operators, located on the main commercial routes, easily accessible with the OSCAR fleet card.

We were included the Deloitte CE Top 500 for the first time.

For the third consecutive time we were included in the Deloitte CE Top 500.

We ranked 5th in the top of fuel distributors in Romania, being the largest independent player.

We opened the first Greenfield fuel warehose in Sercaia (Brașov county).

We opened the second Greenfield fuel warehouse in Zădăreni (Arad county).

We developed a new premium B2B service for companies that need a complex fuelling solution. An extension of the integrated DIESELpoint fuelling service, DIESELpoint Plus is a combination between the 20000 L in-house fuelling station and the fleet card system, accessible with the OSCAR fleet card.

We received the True Leaders award of ICAP - "The best oil company in Romania", for the simultaneous fulfilment of 4 criteria: profitability, an increased number of employees in 2015 compared to 2014, industry leader, ICAP credit score: A2.

We opened two new Greenfield fuel warehouses, in Ocna Mureș (Alba county) and Roman (Neamț county).

2017

We won 3 awards: the World Finance award for "Best Fuel Distribution Company in Eastern Europe"; the Business Champions award "Business Champions for Romania", for companies with a turnover of more than 15 million Euros; the True Leaders award from ICAP Romania, for the second time in a row.

We took a natural step towards fuel retail and traditional gas stations and opened the first RO gas station, an OSCAR B2C franchise concept. The RO franchise brand was developed to complement the DIESELpoint Access network, with additional services and products.

We launched 4 new types of fuel in the OSCAR portfolio, named ACTIS and FORTIS, superior fuels developed for B2C.

We made a complete rebranding with a new commercial brand “OSCAR”, a new logo, a new visual identity, while staying true to the same OSCAR values: Quality, Care, Professionalism, Respect and the adoption of new technologies - "Same values, a new journey”.

2019

We received the third True Leaders award from ICAP.

We expanded the fleet cards portfolio, launching 3 new card types: credit fleet card (Energy), debit fleet card (Easy) and voucher card (Joy).

2021

We celebrated 20 years on the Romanian market, being the largest independent fuel distribution company and one of the TOP 5 players in the oil&gas Romanian industry.

We reached:
• 87 stations in the OSCAR network under the
two OSCAR brands - RO concept OSCAR (46
stations) and DIESELpoint Access (31 stations)
• 2500 B2B in-house fuelling stations, active at B2B clients at national level
• 65,000+ cbm, with a network of 7 modern fuel warehouses nationwide.

We received the 4th True Leaders award from ICAP.

We entered top 50 most important companies in the Romanian economy, according to Capital Romania.

We ranked 337th place in the Top 500 largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe, by Coface.

We celebrated 5 years since the first RO franchise station.

We reached 100+ stations in the OSCAR gas stations network.

We were nominated as the most attractive Oil&Gas employer in Romania, according to Randstad Employer Brand 2023.

We implemented a new fleet card management system, which offers: easy online, access to information in real time; a new type of contactless card with increased security; access to ACTIS gasoline, in all RO stations; decrease in fuelling time for all stations in the OSCAR network.

We extended the DIESELpoint Plus premium package to the 9000L stations.

We increased our own fuel transport fleet to over 80 tankers.

We introduced a product upgrade for the 9,000L and 20,000L in-house filling stations.

We started the process of rebranding the DIESELpoint Access stations, to a new image – OSCAR Drive.

We obtained the Deloitte „Best Managed Companies" certification, an initiative of Deloitte Private, thus joining the Romanian champions that take entrepreneurial excellence to international standards.
