Fueling good in education, health and the environment
After 23 years of activity, OSCAR Downstream, the largest independent fuel distribution company in Romania, launches the " Romania Forward Together " platform, a long-term national project, meant to set in motion and support essential projects in the fields of education, health and environment, initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of Romania.
The platform follows the natural path of OSCAR Downstream's business strategy to invest in sustainability, amid the acceleration of the green transition and with a focus on Romania's energy future.
Through Romania Forward Together, we continue to do what we know best: to feed those who move things in the right direction.
The program will be carried out in the long term, #RomaniaForwardTogether being the platform on the basis of which non-governmental organizations, as well as OSCAR Downstream's business partners, are invited to dialogue and joint projects that help Romania develop in areas where investments in education, health and environment are needed.

Thus, the start of the #RomaniaForwardTogether platform is marked by three partnerships with a positive impact on society, strategic partnerships with non-governmental organizations, with a portfolio dedicated to sustainable development: World Vision Romania, SanoVan and PlaYouth. Being in the top 10 tax payers in Romania, OSCAR Downstream expands its mission to support the national economy, by building a better future for the communities in which it operates.

World Vision Romania takes #RomaniaForwardTogether
Together with World Vision Romania, OSCAR Downstream supports the "I want to go to College" project, launched in 2023 with Babeș-Bolyai University, through which it provides support for the education of bright young people in rural areas, providing opportunities and resources for 30 young people from vulnerable communities to access higher education, complete university studies and advance to promising careers.
At the same time, another World Vision Romania project addresses the change in the perception of agriculture among young people, promoting it as a career for the future. "Proud to be a farmer" is a project supported by the #RomaniaTotInainte platform and proposes entrepreneurial and practical education in agricultural high schools, agriculture being a vital sector of the local economy in which OSCAR Downstream has been involved for over 23 years.
SanoVan takes #RomaniaForwardTogether
Sanovan is the mobile medical service that makes care more accessible for those in need. The "SanoVan Health Caravan" project changes Romanians' perspective on their health and facilitates access to medical care where time and place can be obstacles in the search for regular medical check-ups.
Through the #RomaniaForwardTogether platform, SanoVan ensures access to essential medical services in isolated communities in the center and west of the country, facilitating diagnosis and prevention for children who practice performance sports and for locals in the counties: Arad, Timiș, Bihor, Sibiu and Alba.
PLAYOUTH leads #RomaniaForwardTogether
Also, the commitment dedicated to sustainability is also reflected in the phenomenon project "Creative Recycling Caravan", developed together with the PlaYouth Association. It encourages creative waste recycling (upcycling) and awareness of the effects of consumerism on the environment.
After the first two editions, the Creative Recycling Caravan has outlined hubs of creativity and sustainability in 12 counties in the country, reaching over 135,000 indirect beneficiaries, who have begun to gradually transform local communities.
The campaign was awarded at the Sustainable Romania Develop Gala, at the BIZ Sustainability Awards Gala and at the Romanian CSR Awards Gala for the significant impact brought to the community.

#RomaniaForwardTogether thus comes with its own brand identity, aligned with OSCAR values, as well as a dedicated communication campaign.
Through the campaign logo, the manifesto video below and the company's commitment to supporting the three pillars, OSCAR Downstream takes a further step in a stage of maturation of the business in the sphere of sustainability. The platform's promise, "We feed the good", is in line with the company's philosophy through which Romania has been moving forward: for over 23 years, a reliable supplier of the main branches that support the Romanian economy: agriculture, transport, construction and industry.
