OSCAR Downstream organized in May the Open Day event at its fuel warehouse in Zadareni, Arad County. The OSCAR customers and partners, were taken to the OSCAR fuel path.
The event managed to be not just a visit, but a story told to others about efforts, results and professionalism. Together with the specialists from the OSCAR team, the participants were able to find out and observe what happens inside a top fuel distribution company and the whole process underlying the fuel supply and customize designed services.
The warehouse in Zadareni is one of seven fuel warehouses that the company owns. Four, including this one, are Greenfield constructions, with new technology and attention to the environment.
In order to respond promptly to requests, but also to provide fuel in optimal conditions, the warehouses are designed at a distance of at least 200 km from each other and have automated modern systems and installations for monitoring and informing customers. Fuel handling is done with maximum precision, with minimal involvement of the human factor in the processes of unloading, storage and tankers loading.
These warehouses are part of its own logistics chain, for the development of which OSCAR has invested over 50 million euros in recent years.
During the visit, were presented the quantity & quality monitoring systems as well as the entire fuel path within the warehouse –– fuel entering the warehouse, storage loading, tankers loading and fuel exist – so that the participants can find out in detail how the company works. These and other “behind the scenes” information for one of the most important oil&gas company, with 100% Romanian capital, in the country, vividly kept the interest up to the end of the visit.
The construction of the Zadareni warehouse was completed in 2015, had a capacity expansion in 2018, and currently has a total fuel storage capacity of over 13,000 cubic meters: gasoline, diesel and biodiesel.
Fuel delivery is made using three diesel flow meters and two gasoline flow meters , each flow meter having three additive lines with direct injection of the additive into the loading line as well as automatic systems for determining the temperature and density of the product at the time of loading.
Once quantity data, for the loaded fuel, is entered into the program, the flow meters perform all necessary operations, including stopping, without the need for human intervention.
The warehouse installations allow mixing diesel with biodiesel in a proportion of at least 6.5% according to the legislation, fully automated and assisted by a software solution dedicated to this operation.
The positioning designed by OSCAR for its warehouses, at national level, ensure fast deliveries to the end-user and minimum influences on the fuel temperature during transport.
All this, turned the visit to Zadareni into a day of socializing, of free discussions, of questions that found their answers on the OSCAR fuel path.
The warehouse in Zadareni supplies customers in Arad and neighboring counties.
OSCAR. The same values in every partnership.
