For the second consecutive year, the Association for Education Teofor, with the support of OSCAR Downstream, is organizing the event "Gândit în România - George Emil Palade"

Romanian innovation champions will be awarded on November 14 at the Romanian Athenaeum.

OSCAR Downstream, the largest independent fuel distribution company in Romania, is once again supporting this year's "Gândit în România - George Emil Palade" event, organized by the Teofor Education Association on November 14 at the Romanian Athenaeum.

A priority project of the Ministry of Culture, supported by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization, the Ministry of Education, the Romanian Academy of Scientists, the National Museum of Romanian Literature, and the University of Bucharest, Gândit în Romania rewards brilliant minds and champions of Romanian innovation, with outstanding achievements in the cultural, scientific, and business world.

"The initiative of Mr. Mihai Vișinescu, founder of Gândit în România, is commendable, and we are honored to join him again this year. Since last year, thanks to this project, we have discovered extremely talented Romanians. These are people we need to talk more about in Romanian society to inspire future generations," said Nicolae Bănică, CEO of OSCAR Downstream.

Director and film producer Mihai Vișinescu said, "The Gala Gândit în România is the culmination of efforts and projects carried out on the platform www.ganditinromania.ro, where documentary films about Romanian personalities who made history are in dialogue with interviews of Romanians who are now making history and achieving remarkable things. It is a living platform that reaches young people through social media, giving them landmarks and identity values. This way, the true Romanian values that built and are building Romania can go viral."

"Gândit în România awards the great personalities of Romanian cultural and scientific creativity, business successes from innovation, and champions of the Romanian mind, in general. We have such personalities that a gala like this brings back to the eyes and minds of a wide public, reminding us to be proud to be Romanian!" said Dumitru Prunariu, the first Romanian to ever fly in space.

"Last year, in November, I was surprised to be contacted by the Gândit în România project team, who invited me to a dialogue about what it means to promote Romanian personalities in all fields of science and creation, in dialogue with the great values of the world. In this context, I received the Culture Award, granted by the Ministry of Culture. I left there with the certainty that Romania has a future, that regardless of the difficulties we are going through, there is an unexpectedly great potential of personalities, both in the country and in the diaspora. I congratulate the Thinking in Romania team that works all year to bring the great cultural, scientific, and creative values of Romania into dialogue around the holidays!" said Constantin Chiriac, General Director of the Radu Stanca National Theatre Sibiu and President of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival.

This year's event, broadcast live, as last year, by TVR International and TVR Cultural, will start at 19:00. From 18:00, guests can visit the exhibitions of research institutes and teams of young inventors in the foyer of the Romanian Athenaeum.

Full details are available on the event page and social media channels (FacebookInstagram, and YouTube).

This year's edition will award 11 prizes in the same categories as last year: Bizinvent, Mentoring, Startup, Lyceum, Universitaria, Academica, Romanian Research, Romania in the World, Science Culture, GIR Grand Prize, and Competition Prize.
